Guardid Card Reader Driver



This package installs the software (Media Card Reader Driver) to enable the following device. Ricoh Multi Card Reader. Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select Device manager form the context menu. Expand Storage Controllers, right click on the card reader driver and select Update option from the context menu. Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the update to complete. Download card reader drivers or install DriverPack Solution software for driver scan and update. The MSR605 card readers use the Prolific PL2303 Serial-to-USB Driver to interface the card reader on Windows. The device should clearly have MSR605 marked on it, this device comes in to options, USB standalone and an older version that uses a power adapter as well.

By default, Windows has installed the universal (WUDF) driver, but it does not support the PinPad card reader.

It is recommended that you follow these steps to resolve the issues.

  1. Download the Gemalto CT710 Ezio driver here.
  2. Open GemPcCCID.exe and install the driver.
  3. After installation, the card reader should work as expected.

OmniKey CardMan 3821

  1. Download the OmniKey CardMan 3821 driver here.
  2. Launch the application.
  3. Save the files to a folder on your computer.
  4. Open Device Manager and find the ChipCard reader. Set the new driver software location to the folder where the driver files were previously saved. You can find a detailed guide here.
  5. After installation, the card reader should work as expected.
